Part 1 - Review

Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, well known as Ronaldinho, was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1976. He was one of the best soccer players that has ever existed. Ronaldo won the FIFA Player of the Year award three times and is the top striker in the history of the World Cup with his fifteen goals. Ronaldo had a poor childhood and started his carrer in São Cristovão - a modest soccer club. When he was 16 he played as a profissional for Cruzeiro. He was soon considered a talented and special player. 44 goals in only 46 matches later Ronaldo moved to Europe to play for PSV Eindhoven in Neetherland. He was an absolutelly good player but he had some problems with his coach and left PSV to play for Barcelona. Playing really well and scoring a lot of goals in Spain Ronaldo started to be called "El Fenómeno". Ronaldo played also for Internazionale in Italy where he passed through his firt serious surgery on his knee. 15 months of recovery later Ronaldo started playing again, won the World Cup in 2002 and was elected by FIFA the best playerin the world for the third time. In august of 2002 Real Madrid bought "El Fenómeno" for €39.000.000. Real Madrid had other superstar players like David Beckham, Zidane and Raulbut the team did not go well. Then in 2007 he went back to Italy but this time to play for Milan - Internazionale's greatest opponent. But in 2008 Ronaldinho injuried again his knee and left the field crying. Milan decided not to renew his contract. That was the end of 2007/2008 season for Ronaldo. Ronaldo wanted to go back to Brazil and play for Flamengo where he was trainning to recover from the surgery and to be in shape. But he ended up playing for Corinthians in São Paulo. Ronaldo adapted very well in the team and scored a lot in 2009. He won championships and was treated like a celebrity. But 2010 was not as successful as 2009. And in the beginning of 2011, after a sequence of injuries and a lot of pain, Ronaldo decides to retire. Ronaldo is still very influent in soccer all around the world. He lives now in São Paulo with his wife and kids and became a businessman.

1. British Museum

Visited by nearly 5 million people last year, showing more than 2 million years of human history and housing more than 7 million objects, the British Museum is considered one of the greatest museums in the world and people come from all around the world to visit it. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience the world under one roof. So you can come in the Museum, it’s completely free! You can walk around and visit every country in the world, but just in one building. It’s a great way to spend a day.

2. Hyde Park

London's Hyde Park is one of the greatest city parks in the world. Covering 142 hectares (350 acres) and with over 4000 trees, a large lake, ornamental flower gardens, fields, there’s a good chance you’ll forget you are right in the centre of London. Hyde Park in London has something for everyone. You can enjoy swimming, boating, cycling and skating. There are pitches for team games, tennis courts, tracks for horse riding and a spectacular children’s playground. The Park has also fascinating buildings and monuments and with open air events there is always something to see and do.

3. National Gallery

London's National Gallery displays European painting from about 1250 - 1900. If you love paintings and art you can't lose the opportunity to see the work of Leonardo da Vinci, Turner, Renoir, Cezanne and Van Gogh. There are special exhibitions, lectures, video and audio-visual programmes, guided tours and holiday events for children and adults. It's your chance to see some of the world's greatest masterpieces.
